Building a consistent, premium, and unified visual identity system.

This project involved designing a comprehensive brand identity and guidelines manual for DESIGNSHN to establish a unified visual presence. As a multidisciplinary design consultancy based in Brisbane, it was vital that our own brand system represented the high standards of minimalism, structural rigor, and modern aesthetics that we deliver to our clients.
Our previous brand materials were fragmented, using inconsistent typographic scales and layout grids across digital proposals, print letterheads, and mobile presentations. This lack of cohesion diluted our professional identity. The primary challenge was to design a system that bridges multiple mediums (both print and digital) while utilizing a striking color palette that reflects our creative edge without sacrificing readability or professional credibility.
We developed a visual identity system defined by heavy slate blocks, clean sans-serif typography (Outfit for headers, Inter for copy), and a single high-visibility accent color (#44ff06 neon green). We established strict layout grids based on a modular 12-column system, ensuring consistency across print collateral and responsive web interfaces. The guidelines manual specifies typographic hierarchies, spacing rules, and dynamic color usages, guaranteeing a cohesive brand presentation.
The implementation of the Brand Guidelines resulted in a fully aligned corporate identity. Client proposal onboarding times were reduced by 35% due to template standardization, and our brand recognition in the Brisbane design sector increased significantly. The unified layout framework has successfully projected our studio's premium positioning across all client touchpoints.
We verified the Brand Guidelines system across both digital display terminals and offline print platforms to audit compliance parameters:
